2021-22 Season

This was our 40th Anniversary season, and we returned to singing after the forced silence of the  pandemic full of excitement at the prospect of singing again and sharing some wonderful music with our audience. We performed at St Mark’s Church, Bromley. We also sang at the annual thanksgiving service of the City of London’s Worshipful Company of Paviors.

Fauré Requiem

We were delighted to return to performance with the Fauré Requiem, Rejoice in the Lamb by Benjamin Britten and Otčenáš (Our father) by Leoš Janáček. Accompanied by harp, strings and organ, and with tenor soloist Greg Tassell, this was a most enjoyable evening and we thank all who joined us.

5th March 2022

Northern Lights

** Cancelled **

We hoped to welcoming you for a fantastic programme of works by contemporary, highly celebrated composers from Finland, Estonia and Norway.

The programme included  the dramatic and stirring Sunrise Mass by Ola Gjeilo, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi‘s wonderfully characterful and quirky Four Shakespeare Songs, and the haunting and achingly beautiful Passion and Resurrection by Ēriks Ešenvalds.

We are hoping to come back to these pieces in the future.

21st May 2022

The Peaceable Kingdom

For our May concert we performed a fantastic American programme including Bright Mass with Canons by Nico Muhly, Lux aeterna by Morten Lauridsen, and The Peaceable Kingdom by Randall Thompson.

9th July 2022

King Arthur

On 9th July we performed Purcell’s King Arthur. We were very pleased to be joined again by our friends, the Rosenau Sinfonia, harpsichordist Paul Jeanes and soprano Becky Ryland-Jones.

It was a wonderful evening and we thank all who came.
