“Music For a Summer’s evening...”

Ladies enjoying a good sing The Allegri Singers will be performing a varied concert, including music by Barber, Vaughan Williams, and Holst. There will be folk songs, madrigals and jazz arrangements, and 'maybe a surprise'.

The programme will include:

• Keith Roberts: Jazz arrangements and other surprises
• Eric Whitacre: 'i thank you god for most this amazing day' (e.e. cummings)
• Eric Whitacre: 'Sleep' (Silvestri)
• John Wilbye: 'Draw on, Sweet Night' (Madrigal)
• Ralph Vaughan Williams: 'The Turtle Dove' (Folksong)
• Ralph Vaughan Williams: 'Bushes and Briars' (Essex Folksong)

Tickets available at the door or from members: please note that we have had to increase our ticket prices for the first time for several years, but are offering tickets at the old price if purchased in advance through choir members.
