“Music of the Night”

Ladies enjoying a good singLadies enjoying a good sing The next concert to be given by the Allegri Singers under their new conductor Tom Bullard will feature some part-song and jazz favourites including the hushed tones of Stanford's 'The Blue Bird' and Sullivan's 'The Long Day Closes', and the stirring sounds of 'Deep River' and 'By and By'. There will be some less-known numbers such as Eric Thiman's setting of 'Go Lovely Rose', and an amusing setting of 'There was an Old Man in a Tree'. We hope you will also enjoy our versions of modern classics such as 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square' and the combined Beatles' numbers 'Blackbird' and 'I will'.

Tickets available at the door or from members. Please note that we have recently had to increase our ticket prices to £8.50 for the first time for several years, but are offering tickets at the old price of £8.00 if purchased in advance through choir members.
