Our next concert on Saturday May 16th, 2015 will be a change from our usual concert format - we will be performing a small number of popular modern choral items including works by Lauridsen and Whitacre, followed by a performance of the ever delightful Requiem by Fauré, in a new arrangement with harp, violin, cello and organ accompaniment. This concert will last about an hour, followed by refreshments, and starts at the earlier time of 6.00 pm. There is also a change of venue - to make it really easy to pop into this concert after a shopping expedition, we will be singing at Bromley Parish Church.
Programme
Lauridsen - Ave Maria
L'Estrange - Prayers for Peace
Whitacre - Sleep
Rex - Do not stand at my grave and weep
Ešenvalds - Long Road (an absolutely gorgeous piece by this Latvian Composer)
Fauré - Requiem (in an arrangement with harp, violin, cello and organ accompaniment)
We expect the concert to last about an hour, and refreshments will be available afterwards.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 16th May 2015 at 6.00pm
