Our
first programme in the 2015 - 2016 season under the baton of our new conductor
Jamie Hall will feature a number of contrasting motets suitable for honouring
and remembering the dead, including Victoria's 'Office for the Dead' and Poulenc's
'Motets for a time of penitence', some less-well-known works, together with
an old favourite, Bach's 'Jesu meine Freude'. We will also include Nystedt's
hauntingly interesting and innovative setting of the Bach chorale 'Komm süßer
Tod'.
